Soren's promised working, native OS X HID code for the GCPad, but it has yet to appear in the main tree. I don't understand why it was necessary to disable SDL support for the whole build in the first place if it was (is) still necessary for input in some parts of the system. You'll note (I believe) that the Wii remote plugin works perfectly, accepting input if set to Emulated Wiimote Mode from (for instance) a PS3 controller just not the GCPad. I have no idea why - there is no native Cocoa HID code for joysticks in place in the main source tree - and I think it was a horrible idea, as the osx builds are now crippled GCwise. For some unknown reason, the contributor "soren.jorvang" disabled SDL support (a framework used for input) on the Mac build in SVN revision 5886 back in July, thus disabling the use of a game controller or joystick. If you have any ideas or need more info, tell me. There are three options, but they all seem to be just for my keyboard. Under "GCPad" in the Devices drop-down, i'm not seeing the controller. The ps3 controller should act as a double mouse and keyboard and should work flawlesslyīecause the game's initial startup is when the gamepad is detected, utilizing these steps will 'trick' the game into thinking no gamepad is connected, or rather, the game cannot map the controls to your ps3 controller until the game is restarted.(07-22-2010, 04:25 AM)imtheshocker35 Wrote: Glad to finally join the Dolphin community Now while Max payne 3 is still open, hit command+tab to go to desktop and turn bluetooth back on, then turn on ps3 controller The game should automatically be in keyboard mode upon opening and a mouse should be on screen as opposed to gamepad mode, the mouse is rendered invisible Then open Max payne 3, make sure the previous steps are done while max payne 3 is closed Then disconnect your ps3 controller and turn off your bluetooth in your mac settings Map your ps3 controller to the keyboard default controls in max payne 3 using controllermate For all those like me who have a mac, a ps3 controller, and have been dying to play max payne 3 on it, this is what I did:
